- It appears that there will only be a few releases worthy of purchase this week. So for most of you sneaker heads out there, you can probably take a break and save money this weekend. Put it in the bank, take someone to dinner, or put it in your sneaker fund to save for next week! However, from the looks of the sneaker release calendars, it appears there will be a two week break for most sneaker heads. BUT as most weeks, there are always possible picks or a sleeper picks.... so let's get into that... first up:
- Nike is releasing a good looking color way this week. There aren't too many sneakers can feature a maroon color way and still turn heads. I feel like Nike has done a fantastic job with this color way. The color combination of black and maroon is very easy on the eyes. The classic gum sole, just completes the collaboration. Well done (view more pictures below). I predict these will not sell out (not right away, at least) BUT will be a solid option to pickup this weekend, if you are itching for a new sneaker to add to your collection. These look better in person. Usually the ticket price for foams are higher than the average retail for a release, but if you have it, it will be worth it. Personally, these will probably be added to my collection.

Not Quite Sure... but Maybe.
- Following the Air Jordan Retro V and Retro Xi low 'Gold' releases, Jordan is gearing up to release the gold themed color way for the Retro VI. Unlike the Retro XI Low 'gold', you may still be able to find the 'gold' Retro V available for purchase online or in your local retail stores. The base use of metallic gold may be the reason why these retros remain available for a little bit. However, the gold color theme has some type of an appeal, to some. This may be a release many people will have to see in person, before they make the decision to purchase. Although, i feel this sneaker is put together pretty well; most sneaker heads usually stay with OG (original) or more subtle colors schemes - The reason why these will fall into the category of "not quite sure... but Maybe". Only time will tell. But i do predict that these will not sell out. i feel there won't be too many people that are willing to pay $250 for this shoe. I will say one thing i really love about these.... the gold "Jumpman" sneaker chain that comes with it! These COULD sneak into my collection this week. Literally looks like a trophy. Might put in a box frame. #sleepers
