READY FOR BATTLE... GREY! This weekend's Sneaker Release Forecast, Grey, with bright features!

Nike is gearing up to release their "Battle Grey" themed color way. Featured in this blog will be a few popular Nike signature sneakers, in no particular order; Nike Zoom LeBron Soldier X, Nike Kyrie II, and Nike Zoom KD VIII. Spoiler alert, I'll reveal which one is my favorite of the three. I even snuck a sleeper at the end. I am deeming this weekend's selected releases "The Kool Greys"! With all that being said, LET'S GET TO IT!

  • As a sneaker enthusiast, you have to love the way this shoe is put together. As mentioned and well documented, I'm a major fan of straps on sneakers; if used right. The Kool Grey color way looks great on these signature sneakers for LeBron. Honestly, I'm not the biggest LeBron Fan (Mamba All The Way) BUT I am a fan of his signature sneaker line, well MOST of them.  This shoe features gold on the Nike Swoosh and on the LBJ Brand logo. Completed with the suede toe Box and icy Soles. I personally, may pass on these but only because of one of the other features releases. At $140, definitely a quality pick up for sure.

Released Date: October 29, 2016

Retail Price: $140 USD

  • Again with the strap. I love if a sneaker features a strap and makes it look good. If you're looking, the Kyrie II are great basketball sneakers, comfortable. Definitely looks good on the court. This light grey color way, featured on this shoe, is put together well. These sneakers also feature gold coloring on the Nike Swoosh and Kyrie Brand Logo. There is suede also, but instead of on the toe box, it's placed on the strap. The icy soles just pops! With the retail at $120, these may find their way into my collection.

My Definite Pick:

  • These right here are my top pick. I have a few pair of KD 9s already. Last couple of years Durant's signatures haven't been making as much noise. But these right here, are it! The different shades of grey on this sneaker collide to create this masterpiece of a color way. I'm really a fan of this year's signature shoe from Durant and will definitely be adding these to my collection. Of the three listed, I'd say these are the most comfortable shoe. Great to play basketball in, great to lounge in. I love how the retail went down from average $180 to now $150. The design of the sole may be one of the top features on this sneaker, in my opinion. performance ready. But anyways, the proof is in the pictures, so just go take a look.

Sleeper Pick: Bonus Pick.

  • And now for my sleeper pick. The Air Max Zero. I didn't put this as featured in my headline because it's not anyone's signature sneaker. However, it is releasing same date as the ones above. So I decided to add this one in as a "post script". I'm an Air Max '95 fan BUT these Zeros are a great designed shoe. Comfy as well. I had a chance to try them on at one of my local retailers; fits like a sock and has durable fabric. If you like walking/running or are ready to train, these will be a good pick up for you. Me personally, I feel $150 is a a little too steep for these; considering the featured sneaks are either the same or lower in price. But something to consider.
